Offering

Teman, akhirnya kita sampai juga ke topik offering...

Bagi teman-teman yang penasaran gimana caranya nawarin sesuatu sama orang lain bisa kok nambah pengetahuan di sini. Ada berbagai pengetahuan mengenai offering, mulai dari pengertian offering, cara mengungkapkan offering secara formal maupun informal, contoh-contohnya, cara menerima dan menolak offering itu sendiri, dan masih banyak lagi deh.

Definition of Offering:
  1.        The act of making an offer.
  2.        Something, such as stock, that is offered. 
  3.        A contribution or gift, especially one made at a religious service.
The expression of “Would you like…” is normally used for offering something to someone.

Less Formal Expressions:

  • ·         Let me help you.
  • ·         May I help you?
  • ·         Do you need some help?

  • ·         I’ll do it for you.
  • ·         Is there anything I can do?

Less Informal Expressions:
  • ·         Why don’t you have some…?
  • ·         Would you like to have a dinner?
  • ·         What can I get for you?
  • ·         What will you have?

Offering Help:
A: Is there anything I can do for you?
B: Thank you, but I can finish it soon.

A: Well, let me know if I can be of any help.
B: Thanks for your kindness.

A: Shall I carry your luggage to your apartment?
B: Yes, please.

A: do you need help?
B: Would you mind sending me those boxes, please?

Accepting an Offering:
  • ·         Thank you.
  • ·         Yes, please.
  • ·         I’d like it very much.
  • ·         Thank you, I would.
  • ·         That would be very nice.

Declining an Offering:
  • ·         No, thanks.
  • ·         No, I really won’t. Thank you.
  • ·         Not for me, thanks.
